Lighting a DC venue
Audi Field has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Capitol and the Washington Monument. Keep the uplights low and warm so the view still reads after dark.
Sweeney Barn in Manassas is a 1939 barn with exposed beams and a multi-level layout. Uplight on the beams ties the levels together.
The Crossvines in Poolesville has a reception hall with wood beams and vaulted ceilings, made for uplighting that climbs the walls.
Older properties often limit sparks and fog, so get the venue’s rules in writing early.

Yes. The fountains make no heat, fire or smoke. Your venue approves them first, and your planner sorts that out before the day. Two fixtures are $795, four are $1,195.
Is dancing on a cloud safe for our guests?
Yes. The dry ice stays low around the two of you and disappears before reaching the tables. Dancing on a Cloud is $795.
What smaller touches can we add?
The Washington DC rates page lists the Audio Guestbook Phone, a vintage handset that records guest messages, and Glow Sticks (100 count) for the dance floor’s peak. Each is $295.
