Straight from the dance floor
Ang was amazing, we had to set up the DJ in two different locations. One for the ceremony and then later at the reception. We had a multigenerational, multi cultural wedding and Ang was able to get everyone on the dance floor.

Ang and her team at toast entertainment are experts in their field and provide top notch services and customer care. We highly recommend them for their dedication to make your event a success!
E Armea-Warren
Bryan did an incredible job with the music and hit all of our marks and cues, some of which were fairly specific. He also brought all of the equipment we requested (e.g. speakers/microphones) and then some lights for the dance floor that made for an awesome vibe!

What comes with every Toast DJ

A trained MC who runs your timeline
Your DJ isn't a freelancer we found last week. Every DJ on the New Orleans roster works under Ang 9, the franchise owner who runs Toast New Orleans, and MCs your reception with warmth, not cheese. Your coordinator handles logistics. Your DJ handles energy.

Your music plan, must-plays and do-not-plays
Before the wedding, you and your DJ build the soundtrack together, from processional to last dance. The do-not-play list is sacred. On the night, your DJ reads the room and adjusts in real time.

Pro sound, ceremony audio included
We bring our own sound system, calibrated for your venue and guest count. No house speakers, no borrowed gear. Ceremony sound and wireless mics come at no extra charge, with a full sound check before guests arrive.

A backup DJ and backup gear, every event
Most New Orleans wedding DJs are one person with a laptop. If they get sick, you're scrambling. We keep trained backup DJs on call and a second rig ready.
Uplighting and custom lighting design are add-ons we'll happily quote. Quinceañeras, LGBTQ+ weddings, multicultural fusions, country weddings: our DJs are trained to honor them and get them right.
Rates and Packages
New Orleans wedding DJ pricing runs from about $500 to $3,000+, and the range usually maps to a quality range. At the low end you're hiring one person with a laptop and no backup plan. Toast packages include a trained entertainment director, premium sound, your custom music plan, and vendor coordination. Bundle DJ with photography, videography, or a photo booth and your per-service cost drops.

Venues we know before your date
Toast covers the full Greater New Orleans area. If we've worked your venue, we already know the staff, the load-in dock, and the room. If we haven't, we scout it out and pull every detail we need long before your date. By the time we show up, we know the room either way.
Not listed? Browse the directory, or ask. We'll scout it.
New Orleans wedding DJ questions
New Orleans has two peaks, October and November and March through May, and those dates book 8 to 12 months out. If you're at a venue couples love like Marigny Opera House, Felicity, or the Audubon Tea Room, book your DJ as soon as the venue is locked. October and April weekends fill fastest.
A DJ plays music. An MC runs your reception. Every Toast DJ is both, so introductions, toasts, and special dances are handled by the same person reading your dance floor. No separate emcee to hire.
Absolutely. Your music plan includes must-plays, genres you love, and a do-not-play list we take seriously. If the Chicken Dance is banned, it stays banned. Your DJ still reads the room, just inside the lines you set.
Yes. Ceremony sound, wireless mics, and speakers are included at no extra charge. Whether your ceremony is in the courtyard at the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum, on the Esplanade Avenue grounds at Degas House, or on the riverfront at the Riverview Room, we run a full sound check before guests arrive so your vows are heard.
Toast is a company, not a solo operator. If your assigned DJ can't make it, another trained Toast DJ steps in with your music plan, timeline, and venue details already in hand. You'll never be left without a DJ.
Yes. We cover the full Greater New Orleans area and the Northshore: Metairie, Kenner, Mandeville, Covington, and Slidell. Travel up to 30 miles from central New Orleans is included. Farther? Just ask.
Yes. We schedule planning consultations between you and your assigned Toast DJ, so they hear your music vision from you and build the timeline with you. You'll know your DJ before the day.
A trained entertainment director and MC, a custom music plan from processional to last dance, pro sound scaled to your venue, ceremony sound at no extra charge, and coordination with your other vendors. Packages start at $1,000.
The difference is what your night feels like: a flawless ceremony, then a dance floor packed from first song to last, every generation on it, toasts and cues that land, a party that never stalls. And it's worry-free, backups for everything, gear and DJs alike. You get to be a guest at your own wedding, and your guests will talk about it for years.
