Stonehouse Villa sits in Driftwood, in the Texas Hill Country just outside Dripping Springs and about 35 minutes from Austin. The heart of the property is a 1920s stone house, and the current version of it is the work of an Austin interior designer who reimagined the estate as a design-forward indoor and outdoor venue. The result reads as limestone, layered textures, and soft lighting, styled before you add a single thing.
The day moves through five spaces. The Oak Tree Ceremony site is shaded by oaks, with hanging lanterns and wooden benches. The Covered Tented Pavilion is draped, chandelier-lit, and open-air, which makes it the natural home for cocktail hour and a real rain plan for the ceremony. The Cocktail Lounge has a built-in bar, a floral wall, and lounge seating. The Reception Hall is 3,400 square feet with custom lighting, warm wood, and flexible layouts. Two private Ready Rooms round it out.
Stonehouse Villa works from an open vendor list. The venue provides floor plans, setup, and teardown, and describes itself as "not all-inclusive but incredibly supportive." You bring the vendors you want, and the venue team handles floor plans, setup, and the room turn. Capacity tops out at 200 guests.

Stonehouse Villa is a venue where the sound plan matters as much as the playlist. The ceremony is outdoors under oaks, so we bring a dedicated ceremony sound system and wireless mics that hold up in open air. Cocktail hour moves to the pavilion, which needs its own speakers and a lighting pass so the chandeliers and drape read the way the designer intended after dark. Then the reception lands in a 3,400 square foot hall with custom lighting already built in, which means our uplighting and dance floor lighting work with the room instead of fighting it. Ceremony under the oaks, cocktail hour in the pavilion, dinner and dancing in the hall: that is three separate sound setups and a timeline that has to move 200 people between them without a gap. Our team handles that part, and couples tell us the day just felt easy.
