Ashley Rust is Toast's Coordination Director. She started in weddings as a venue manager, so she learned coordination from the venue side of the vendor relationship. If your lead coordinator has an emergency, the assistant already on site takes over and another Toast coordinator is sent to your wedding. You are booking a company with a team, not a single freelancer.

Every Toast coordination package includes a venue visit before your wedding. Your coordinator walks the property with you, learns the layout and the house rules, and builds the floor plan around the space you have.
Coordinating a Houston wedding
Houston has two peaks. Spring runs March through May, and fall runs October and November.
Houston is humid most of the year, which is hard on hair and makeup.
Downtown hotels usually mean paid garages. If your suite and venue sit on opposite sides of I-10 or I-45, tell us early. Travel within 30 miles of central Houston is free, which covers most of Katy, Pearland and Cypress.
Before the wedding, you and your coordinator tour the venue together. The Bell Tower on 34th in Garden Oaks has soaring ballrooms, stone columns and manicured courtyards. Station 3 is a 1903 fire station off Washington Ave with a two-story layout. The Juliana in the Heights is an open-air greenhouse. At the Houston Museum of Natural Science, vows can happen under a dinosaur skeleton.
Your coordinator is introduced four months out. Every Houston inquiry gets an answer the same day.

When do we start working with our coordinator?
You are connected with your dedicated coordinator four months before your wedding.
Is this day-of coordination or full planning?
More than day-of, less than full planning. It is designed for couples who have handled most of the planning and want experienced professionals to take over in the final months.
Can we request a specific coordinator?
Yes. A specific-coordinator request adds $200. Without it, Toast assigns your lead coordinator and assistant, with Ashley Rust overseeing the plan as Coordination Director.
What if our wedding day runs longer than eight hours?
On Essential, extended service for the lead coordinator and assistant is $200 per hour. On Elite, wedding-day coordination has no hourly cap and runs from arrival to the final formal event.
Do you coordinate weddings outside central Houston?
Yes. We cover Houston and the surrounding metro, including Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Katy, Pearland, Cypress, Spring, Tomball, Conroe, and League City.
